Thursday afternoon 25-year-old Justin Detrell Wilburn of Kennesaw, Georgia managed to get in an accident, hitting an empty car, while driving in the rain. Police determined that he had been going too fast for the current conditions but it was the condition of wounds and blood on Wilburn that really concerned the Cobb County deputies.

After questioning Wilburn they ended up paying a visit to his mother’s house in Powder Springs. JoAnn Wilburn, a math teacher at Pebblebrook High School and Justin Wilburns mother, was found stabbed to death in her home.

Wilburn was arrested and charged with Murder as well as some traffic charges resulting from the accident and is currently lodged in the Cobb County Jail with no bond.

I wouldn’t be surprised in the least if drugs played no small part in this tragedy.
