What didn’t happen here really speaks volumes to me.

Atlanta-based rapper 44-year-old Todd ‘Too Short’ Anthony Shaw (MySpace) was performing at a concert at the Knitting Factory in Boise, Idaho Wednesday night/early Thursday morning. He was allegedly involved in a fight that broke out backstage that got him arrested.

It all started when a security guard told Shaw he couldn’t being a group of underage girls backstage. Good for you security guys! At least someone was thinking with the right head there.

Three employees at the Knitting Factory told police that they were punched and kicked by Shaw and 38-year-old Michael Walton of Modesto, California, an associate of Shaw’s. Both men were charged with misdemeanor Battery, lodged into the Ada County Jail and released earl Thursday morning.

58-year-old Stephen R. Young of Eagle, Idaho, who just recently retired from the Boise Police Department, was arrested last week and lodged in the Ada County jail on charges of Lewd Conduct With a Child Under the Age of 16.

Young allegedly had four victims and the sexual incidents all took place over the course of the last five years, while the children were infants. The victims are all known or are family to Young, but none of them live at his home. The sexual contact allegedly happened at different homes in Ada County.

While prosecutors say that the incidents involve only four children he is suspected of molesting at least 13 children over the last 30 years. Prosecutors expect more charges to be filed.

Young abruptly retired on February 28th after 30 years of employment with the Boise Police Department amidst the investigation and turned himself him to police. He is currently being held on $250,000 bond. He is also currently estranged from his wife and the family is cooperating with police.

A message from Chief of Police Michael Masterson to BPD employees and our community:
As a former BPD employee goes to court today on charges of Lewd Conduct with a minor, I’d like to communicate two important thoughts; first, I know I speak for all in saying our hearts go out to the alleged victims and their families…. The allegations against Mr. Young are more disturbing than I can put into words. Children are truly the most innocent of victims. Following Mr. Young’s retirement, when the criminal allegations surfaced, we have cooperated fully with investigators from the Ada County Sheriff’s Office.
Secondly, it saddens me greatly that the thousands of fine men and woman who serve as peace officers risk being judged as a whole by the actions of one. Law Enforcement is a challenging, rewarding profession. I am reassured to know that within the Boise Police department our employees know that actions that may compromise the integrity of this profession are not tolerated, either within the ranks of officers or by their supervisors. My appreciation goes out to those who quietly and honorably wear the badge, who serve, lead and protect the citizens throughout Boise, Idaho and the nation. To the heroes who do not make headlines, you deserve our admiration and gratitude each and every day.
Finally, for the victims in this case and all cases, especially those involving children, we put our trust in the investigators that they will provide the proper and necessary answers for the community. And our faith is in our judicial system that justice will be served and healing can begin for all the affected families.

33-year-old Glenn Farrell Gilbert had some serious partying going on Tuesday night. Damn, the dude needs to learn to keep his ass at home when he’s going to drink that much. It’ll save a serious beatdown.

Anyway, Gilbert made an illegal lane change Tuesday night in Boise so officers tried to pull him over. Gilbert (naturally) refused to be pulled over and ended up accidently pulling into a dead end road where he was stopped.

When Glenn Gilbert got out of the car he allegedly made several statements to the effect that the officers just needed to shoot him and then he started making movements indicating that he was arming himself. That’s when police tased his drunk ass. From the looks of it they may have pounded his ass into the pavement as well just to make sure.

Gilbert has been lodged in the Ada County Jail and charged with Resisting Officers, Eluding Police and DUI.

Stephanie Elizabeth Joyce Noircent of Boise, Idaho has been a bad Wiccan. The self-styled so-called pagan got into a lover’s quarrel at the Ponderosa Trailer Park (of course) that ended pretty badly for both of them. After they got finished arguing Stephanie waited until the dude had turned his back and stabbed him with a pocket knife in the lower part of his back.

Don’t get me wrong, I’m not making fun of pagans. I’ve been sort of on the outskirts of being a pagan for years, it’s about as close to any kind of spiritual belief as I get. What I don’t recall though is anything in the Wiccan Rede like An Ye Harm None Except to Stab Your Boyfriend in the Back. Hell, maybe I missed that part. Stephanie, who also goes by Night Skye, could probably tell us where that part is.

Anyway, both Stephanie and her friend were treated at the hospital for minor injuries and released and then Noircent was arrested for Aggravated Battery and Domestic Battery and lodged in the Ada County Jail.

I came across this over at Justice for Caylee and have stolen it in it’s entirety. Go visit as they have updates on other endangered children’s cases as well.

There was a vigil held yesterday for Robert Manwill in Boise Idaho.  Earlier in the day the Robert Manwill “family” held a press conference and addressed the public.

Trish Burrill, Robert’s aunt, did the speaking.  I must commend her.  It seems she has been leading this charge for the family from day one.  I think she wants answers as bad as any of us.  Those answers when they come, and they will come, will probably hurt her the most.  But it slows her down not at all.

She spoke of Robert as a normal happy child.   I only hope that was true.  I hope he was unaware of the tragedies surrounding him.

She described Robert in this way:

    Robert loved to meet new people and make new friends. He was so outgoing that we had to make new rules just for him. One of his rules was that he had to ask before he hugged someone. He loved life and people so much that he would run up to strangers and give them hugs.

The page reads of books, movies, television shows Robert loved, and has almost 40 pictures of him growing up just like any other child.

Knowing what we know about the family, and the police ruling this a homicide, it’s comforting to see little Robert playing and standing in front of a Christmas tree like any other kid. 

    You could catch him “dancing” around the house listening to his Mp3 player with Trace Atkins, Alvin and the Chipmunks, Aqua, Joan Jett, Pat Benatar, and many, many more. Now you may ask why dancing is in quotes. Robert could not dance. He though he was dancing but was nothing but flailing his arms around and moving his legs. But this never stoped him from thinking that he was the greatest dancer in the world.
