Hilton Suspected in Slaying of Fourth Hiker/Bits & Pieces
While it’s still somewhat tenuous right now there are some similarities between the disappearance of 29-year-old Rossana Miliani in December 2005 and the deaths of Meredith Emerson and Cheryl Dunlap.
Rossana was last seen in Bryson City, North Carolina on December 7th 2005. A store clerk from Bryson City told a private investigator that Miliani came into her store with a white man in his 60s and appeared extremely nervous when they bought a backpack. She also rented a storage space there.
Florida Murder Victim Decapitated
The Leon County, Florida Sheriff’s office now considers Gary Michael Hilton a prime suspect in the kidnapping and murder of Cheryl Hodges Dunlap in December. I mentioned yesterday that he might be linked to the murder and they are pretty sure now that it was him, enough that police are taking a closer look at Hilton.
Where is Meredith Emerson?
For the last few days I have been trying to stay updated on the Meredith Emerson case. Meredith is a 24 year old hiker who disappeared from Blood Mountain just a few hours north of me. I have hiked the Blood Mountain area several times over the last thirty years and it’s really a beautiful area.
Evidence Links Hilton to N.C. Murders
Police are now reporting that the have evidence which links Gary Michael Hilton to the murder of a North Carolina Couple. Investigators are not specifying what kind of evidence they have but it is enough to make them believe that Hilton is responsible for the murder of Irene Bryant and the presumed murder of her husband John, who has not yet been found.
