25-year-old Christopher Shanin was arrested and charged with Child Molestation, Sexual Conduct With a Minor, Kidnapping, Sexual Assault and Attempted Aggravated Assault on a Police Officer back in May of 2011.

Shahin lured a 14-year-old girl into his car in a grocery store parking lot in Tempe, Arizona by claiming to need help/ When she got close to his car, an Infiniti G35, he pulled her into it and drove away at which point he drove to an abandoned cul de sac in a nearby neighborhood and raped her.

During the rap two women drove by, saw Shahin fighting with the girl in the back seat, and asked if they needed help. Shahin said they didn’t and drove off dropping the girl off at a school a few blocks away.

The two women managed to get Shanin’s tag # and reported it to police. Police waited at his home until he arrived later in the evening and when officers moved in he tried to back up (and got away), hitting a police sergeant, who was not injured. Police ended up finding and arresting him without incident about seven hours later.

Flash forward to 2012, last week. Maricopa County Prosecutors allowed Shanin to take a plea deal on charges of Unlawful Imprisonment and Endangerment. The fucking douchebag got three years of supervised probation and six months of deferred jail.

Our wonderful justice system at work.

The Prosecutors are to blame. They would rather have a plea deal and win it, than have a trial. It’s all about points for promotion.
