Shadowscope's Sick Crimes

Guys have all different kinds of ways to ask women for a date or pick them up. Some of them are just up-front and ask, others play mind games and act like bad boys to get the women to chase them. Me, I just let the women approach me and then I let them down gently…but I don’t think any of my friends ever chose the route taken by Timothy West of Queens, New York.

West allegedly broke into his victim’s home through the kitchen window and raped her at knife-point. Scared since her mother and brother were asleep and were afraid for their safety she didn’t scream for help. After the rape West asked the woman to fix him something to eat and then asked her for her phone number (WTF?) in hopes that she enjoyed it and would call him. She, on the other hand, was hoping he would make contact so that the police would catch him.

Catch him they did. A couple of hours later while police were at the home she received a text message that said simply, “call me”. The woman, with police listening in, called back and left a message for West. He returned the call from his sister’s home and they set up a date at a Dunkin’ Donuts later on the next night. She waited for two hours and when Wets showed up he was arrested.

West, who has previous convictions for burglary and robbery, has been charged with Predatory Sexual Assault, Rape, Burglary, Robbery and Sex Abuse.
