Starkiya Jones Left Her Baby In The Car For 45 Minutes

I’ve got to tell you, it’s been hot in the southeast this summer. The heat index here in Georgia got up to 110 earlier today. That’s fucking hot. I work on a grill all day and sweat my ass off and then have to go outside where it’s even hotter. Thing is, I get paid for it. It’s my choice to swelter because I like to pay my bills, unlike Starkiya Jones’ two-month-old baby.

Starkiya, who lives in Charlotte, North Carolina, decided to go to the Walmart Saturday afternoon and she took her baby with her. Thing is, rather than dragging the pesky whining thing around the store she decided to leave her baby in the car. For 45 minutes. When it was 98 degrees outside.

Police found the baby in the car shortly before 4pm after a concerned by-passer noticed the child in the car. The baby was taken to CMC University Hospital to be checked out. I don’t have any further info as to how the baby is faring but since Jones has only been charged with misdemeanor Child Abuse I think it’s safe to assume the child is OK now. Jones was held on $2,500 bond.

    no it was 25 minutes from the time the lady got the fireman to the time they got the baby out….so add the time before the woman saw the baby in the car and it probably was 45 min. i am sure wal-mart cameras got the time the POS mother parked her car and got out.

    Becareful not to judge to harshly. This young lady is beating herself up and will continue to do so. It is an unfortunate event that she will never forget. It was a mistake and believe it or not it happens everyday. She didn't do it on purpose the baby is well and it is a tough lesson to learn but she will never for get it. Starkiya is a good mother who works hard to support all of her children alone. She doesn't deserve the constant judging imposed on her by others. For those of you who judge her when is the last time you did anything to help a single mom out. Judge not

      I don’t have to help any single moms out! I was a single mom for a long time, and I sure as hell didn’t just expect anyone to help me out, just because I was a single mother! and I sure as hell didn’t leave my kid in a car alone just because people didn’t “help me out”…it is no one’s responsibility but the parents to take care of their children. Single mom or not.
      It annoys me that you would even ask such a question, as if other people are responsible for this woman’s actions, or this woman’s children, just because she is a single mom. This is her life, her child, and her choices. What the hell makes you think anyone has a responsibility to “help a single mom out”?

    What do you mean she didn't do it on purpose? Was she too stoned to realize the baby was in the car? Did she think she would only be inside for a minute? As far as I am concerned leaving a child in a hot car in a public parking lot for ANY amount of time is a frigging crime. 25 minutes, 45 minutes, five minutes. It makes no different whatsoever.

    She should beat herself up over it and hopefully it will teach her a damned lesson and she will suck it up and learn to be a good parent.

    Being a single parent doesn't give her a license to be stupid. I deal with single moms all day long and for the most part they are very conscientious and responsible about their children.

    God, you're here too? WTF, did you google your fucked up niece's fucked up name? For your information BITCH, I am a single parent, and once again, have never endangered my children. Maybe if your whore of a niece would have kept her legs shut, or swallowed, or knew the fathers of her children a little better before procreating the BITCH wouldn't be a single mom who can't depend on the support(financial and emotional) of their fathers. Tough lesson? That BITCH better kiss the woman who saved her child's ass, because without her, it would have been a fatal lesson.

      First off JJ, her two older children father is in the miltary across seas BITCH, second the father of the baby was with her at the store when it took place, so he is just as much at fault as she. Second, if you kept your legs closed or knew the father of  your  children better maybe you  wouldnt be a single parent and you have the nerve to call the kettle black.

      how bout you worry about  these fathers out her not taking care of their  child. Like you said a dog takes care of their pups but men dont. how bout that  and stay off this young mother. She is not perfect and yall sure hell are not perfect. God knew what  was going on and sent   that woman to the car to save  the angel. he didnt do it for yall to c ast judgemennt.  That is not yall place!

    As  far as Im concerened, you really dont have no right to judge her. Obviously you must have a sterotype against african-american because of your comment about being stoned. Everyone has made mistakes and this was a mistake. She just had the baby taking care of two other children having things on her mind as well as dealing with postpardum depression. We as humans are not perfect so because a person falls asleep while cooking and burn the house down and the family barely making it out doesnt  mean they tried to murder their family. It was an unforgettable accident,  yet people like susan smith  who  drown  their  kids for a man must  have been on crack yet people didnt get on her like you all are getting  on ms.jones. SO BACK OFF

      I’ve looked and looked through the entire story (I did post it a year ago after all) and can’t find any comment about the stupid bitch being stoned. WTF are you talking about?
