Kayleah Wilson Found Dead

Back on April 2nd I wrote about 12-year-old Kayleah Wilson. She left her house in Greeley, Colorado to head to a friend’s birthday party. She was never seen again. The FBI along with local police and residents searched for Kayleah to no avail. Unfortunately police have part of the answer now as her body has been found.

A workers checking a drainage ditch two days ago after heavy rains found Kayleah’s decomposing body lying in three feet of water less than a mile from her house.

Police aren’t releasing the cause of death but her 18-year-old boyfriend has been arrested for allegedly having sex with Kayleah and has been charged with Sexual Assault on a Child. Police are saying though that the arrest has nothing to do with her death.

    I knew this one was not going to end good. I guess I had secretly hoped she had ran away on her own, not that, that would have been any safer for a girl her age, but …. when her boyfriend was still around I knew that was not the case and the end result would be bad. I still don't understand the minds set of a parent to let her walk alone such a distance, especially when we see stories just like these every single day here and on the news. Very Sad!

    I read in one of the news reports that the mother didn't “approve” of her daughter dating an 18-yr-old. Approve? What the fuck is their to approve. She shouldn't have been ALLOWED to see someone that much older than her. Period.
