32-year-old Anthony David Hane of Acworth, Georgia is a registered sex offender and he’s been arrested again. What’s that about low recidivism rates?
Police say that Hane invited a 9-year-old child into his hotel room a few days ago under the premise of playing video games. The boy’s father reported it to the police in Acworth on the 19th and Cherokee County deputies arrested the man on Thursday.
Hane is currently lodged in the Cherokee County jail on $11,200 bond with charges of Enticing a Child for Indecent Purposes. He may also face other charges due to contact he has had with other children. If he makes bond he doesn’t get to be released but will be extradited to Union County where he faces a probation violation. Hane was convicted of Enticing a Child For Indecent Purposes in Union County in 2007.
It’s not listed on Hane’s sex offender profile but according to Hane’s MySpace page here (which he shouldn’t have) he lives in Hayesville, North Carolina and he has himself listed as 26-years-old. His current status is “Hello from Acworth Ga”. Hayesville is just a few miles northeast of Union County, Georgia. Makes me wonder if the authorities are aware that he has a profile. Just shot an email to their public information office letting them know about his profile in case it’s part of his probation as it is with so many of them.
