Jesse James Kilgore Gets Life in Prison

A couple of days just prior to Christmas this last year I posted about Jesse James Kilgore, Benjamin Kelly Mullinax and the murders of Jen and Paul Budrawich up in Dawson County, Georgia. It’s a beautiful part of the state but their was nothing at all beautiful about the heinous murders that Kilgore committed with the help of Mullinax.

To make a long story short Mullinax lured Jennifer and Paul Budrawich to a meeting with Kilgore where they were kidnapped and killed. It was all over a weird child custody deal that just really brings out the southern stereotypes we all hate so much.

Jesse James Kilgore is married to Jennifer Budrawich’s mom. Prior to that he was her uncle by marriage as well but that didn’t seem to matter much to him because one of Jennifer’s children was also fathered by Kilgore as well. ??? Considering he ain’t so good looking he must have the magical schlong.

Anyway, Kilgore ended up taking the couple down to the Amicalola River where he shot them both and dumped their bodies in the river where they were later found due to the fact that Jennifer had managed to call 911 shortly before being murdered. Unfortunately law enforcement wasn’t able to find out who/were they were in time to stop the crime.

Mullinax pleaded guilty last week and was sentenced to two life terms. He’ll be eligible for parole in about 30 years. Jesse James Kilgore also pleaded guilty three days ago but he ended up being sentenced to life without parole for his part in masterminding the murders.

Over at Jennifer’s MySpace a friend left a comment which pretty much says it all, “Hey Jen it’s karen. Today we go to watch that son of a bitch that hurt you and Paul so much be sentenced.  If you ask me no punishment in this world will be enough to make up for the pain that piece of shit caused you and Paul over the years.  You guys were so happy had he just left you the hell alone.  Well cuz justice will be served.  We love and miss you guys so much”

    Dear Captain Obvious,

    I am the neice of Jesse and cousin of Ben. I first would like to say that I don’t appreciate you saying ” just really brings out the southern stereotypes we all hate so much.” This same situation I am sure has happened in other locations and non-southern states and you are being ignorant by saying this. Secondly, this crime was a horrible, horrible crime, and yes I believe my uncle should be imprisoned for the rest of his life, however, you making fun of the situation doesn’t help the families heal, it makes it worse. Many lives were destroyed by these murders, not just the victims. My cousin had 2 sons that now have no father. He is serving 2 life terms and I truly believe he had no idea my Uncle was going to murder these 2 family members. 3 childern are left without their mother. Do you think about how Jen’s children will feel when they grow up and read this stuff? I am not saying you should not report on the truth, however, I am asking that in respect to the families, you try not to poke fun at “southern stereotypes” and how these people lived their lives.

      you are pathetic kelly!!! your family has no sypathy at all from me got that! my mother was devastated from loosing her son and daughter :( ben’s children have a father.. the three boys lost both of there parents, you speak of both families trying to heal ? my family and i drove to dawsonville for both trials my poor mother jus cried an she still does after 10 months .. ben knew what was going down that day and he helped murder my brother and sister !so did jenifer’s biological mother!! there is nothing more i can say but this: paul and jenifer were well loved and are sadly missed by my family and there children:(

    hello my name is elizabeth i am paul’s aunt he was jennifer’s husband, some of this is for kelly, well you are talking about ben’s 2 boys not having a father well think about this they do have a scum bag of a father breathing but paul and jens 3 boys do not have a father that is still alive, thatsbecause of the sorry son of a bitches who took paul n jens lives that would be jesse and ben, ben had to have known something, he knew wat kinda lowlife jesse was, paul was more of a father to jen’s oldest boy which jesse fathered by result of rape, and someday i hope to get word that both jesse and ben were killed in prison. i don’t agree with anyone making fun of the situation. jen was sexaully abused for yrs and no one did a dam thing about it not even her mama.

    Elzabeth and Julie, this my first time reading this story (I was prompted seeing your comments) I can not imagine what this has been like you and your familys and the 3 children left behind. No one should ever have to live with the memories of their parents being brutally murdered. It sounds as if Jen, had a hard life prior to this and for that I am sorry as well. You guys will be in my thoughts.

      thank you deena for your very kind words, and unless someone goes through wat we went through, they can’t begin to understand, after jesse the stepdad killed paul n jen. him and ben threw them in the river hoping they would’nt be found.paul n jen was suppose to get all three boys boys new years weekend. jesse beat paul n jen when the shots did’nt kill them. paul fought to the last breath he took trying to save jen, he is a hero to me
