I’m not sure what is going on with the uber cool goggles up there. Perhaps they are couture du jour for child rapists this week.
24-year-old Nathaniel Baldwin of Milton, Florida (which explains the weirdness) was arrested earlier this week on two counts of a Sexual Offense With a Victim Between the Ages of 12 to 15 Years of Age.
Back in January the Santa Rosa Sheriff’s Office was called and a deputy went to Milton High School to investigate a sexual battery complaint. The girl, who must be closer to 15 if she is in high school, said that Nathaniel Baldwin had raped her.
Apparently the girl and Baldwin had been close friends for several years and both of them attend church together, which is where one of the incidents occurred. On January 20th the girl went to use the bathroom at church and when she came out Baldwin allegedly grabbed her, pulled her into a dark room and began touching her in a sexual manner. The girl claims she told Baldwin to stop but that he didn’t, covering her mouth with his hand to keep her from yelling.
The next incident happened the very next day. She went to visit a relative at Baldwin’s home where he allegedly molested her.
When police interviewed Baldwin he told them that the two had made out in the past and sent text messages to each other about what they would like to do. He also admitted to the two incidents but said they were consensual.
You know, regardless of whether or not it was consensual, 24 is a bit old for a 14 or 15 year old, aside from the fact that it’s illegal, which it obviously is.
