Lawrence Jackson Killed 3-Year-Old Connor Lenning

Last Friday 20-year-old Lawrence Oliver Jackson (lojakthejester on MySpace) was watching his girlfriend’s three-year-old son Connor Lenning while she was at work at the Red Lobster in Macon, Georgia when the man allegedly lost his temper and punched the toddler in the stomach, causing injuries which killed the boy later in the day. Who the fuck PUNCHES a child? Jackson needs to die from repeated punching by the other inmates in whatever shithole he ends up in.

At some point after lunch Jackson called his girlfriend Jessica Merritt at work to let her know that Connor had vomited but that he seemed OK. When Jessica picked her son up that afternoon he was holding his stomach and complaining that it hurt and he seemed very sleepy. Worried about her son who didn’t seem to be getting any better Merritt took the boy to the hospital in Forsyth around 7pm. He died a short time later due to “trauma to his midsection”.

Lawrence Jackson was arrested Wednesday in Monroe County and extradited to Jones County since the murder happened in Gray, Georgia at Jackson’s brother’s house. According to police Jackson admitted to having lost his temper, hitting the boy as a result.

Jackson is lodged in the Jones County Jail charged with Murder and Cruelty to Children.

    Connor is a beautiful boy and will always remain that in my eyes. Blowing bubbles on the balcony in Tennesee and laughing as he throws the bubble wand over the railing and saying “go get it bubba” , this should not have been one of the last memories with him

    I knew Lawrence back in High School and had ran into him various times in the years after, including only a few days before this incident. I never knew him to lose his temper and this entire story was a shock to me. Connor was so happy and lively only a few days before this happened when I had run into them at the mall. God is watching over him now and hopefully some kind of justice will come out of this.

    My son made a terrible mistake and this is a true tradgedy. He did not mean to hurt Conner. He is not the monster that the internet makes him out to be. Yes the end result is that Conner is gone to heaven now, but if you dont know the whole story you can not judge him. Only Conner and Lawrence really know what happened and GOD will judge my son for what he has done. I pray each night for Jessica and her family and I am so sorry for your loss. I know these are just words but I want you to know I mean them. If I could rewind time and know what I know now I could have saved Conner and that is something I live with everyday. Not one day goes by that I am not affected by my son’s actions. Pray for Conner and his family and if you can be human, please find it in your heart to pray for me and Lawrence because we loved Conner also.

      Mr Jackson, I am truly sorry for what you are having to go through. Unfortunately Conner was not the only victim in this and hopefully one day you as well as Conner’s family will receive some measure of peace.

      As far as your son, if I were a praying man they would be saved for his victim and those affected. Anyone who hurts a child in anger or frustration deserves a special place in whatever hell they end up in. Whether he actually meant to kill Conner or not has no bearing on the fact that he is dead.

    Every one can point the finger I know. If Conner was only injured and not killed, this would have blown over like a bad storm and everything would have returned to normal. Only Conner would have the thought that aggression is okay if this continued. Things would be different Conner would act out the same way with his own child or someone else’s in not knowing better. We need to be easy on children so that it is in their heart to love and let hurt pride go.
