Back in 2000 Joshua Maxwell and his girlfriend Tessie McFarland crossed the country robbing and killing people. One of his two murder victims was 45-year-old Bexar County, Texas Sheriff’s Sgt Rudy Lopes, who was robbed and shot to death, his body dumped behind a mall in San Antonio.
Joshua Maxwell was put to death Thursday for killing Lopes. McFarland is currently serving life in prison.
