Rodreick Found Guilty of Child Porn

35-year-old Rodreick Ali Turner of Carrollton, GA was found guilty earlier this week of eight counts of Sexual Exploitation of Children. His trial started Monday and the charges are felonies that carry 5-20 years for each charge. His sentencing is on March 11th at 1:30pm.

About a year ago the Internet Crimes Against Children unit of the Georgia Bureau of Investigation as part of the investigation called “Shattered Innocence” determined that Turner quite possibly had downloaded child pornography.

The Carrollton Police Department joined in the investigation at that time and after Turner’s computer was seized it was found to have contained child porn videos which had been downloaded off of a peer-to-peer file sharing network.

Turner’s latest status update on his Facebook account says ‘God is working on my behalf. Thank you Jesus’.  If there really is a God, apparently he really is working. Redreick also has two MySpace accounts which don’t really have much information. There is nothing left on the new one. The older one, which he hasn’t logged into in three years says,

I am about 5’11" about 235 lbs. I am the Minister of Music at Faith Deliverance Baptist Church. I love going out and having a good time, meet new, intersting people. I also enjoy being a husband to my beautiful wife.

    hi captain, I am the PROUD wife of Rodreick A. Turner. Before u post a story u need to know the facts. My husband has never been nor will he ever be a child predator. Our only mistake was having a computer that was so screwed up with viruses and not having security on the computer. This matter will be resolved and we will fight to the bloody end. I feel sorry for sick people like u that are so quick to send someone to hell just because u read about it. The pics found on our computer were attached to files we had downloaded from limewire and frostwire. I know my husbands character, u are the one we should worry about trusting.
  • I'm not sure where in the preceding story you get the idea that anyone has called Rodreick a child predator. I had to reread it just to make sure but from what I can see there isn't much in there except for the fact that he was convicted of child porn.

    It is entirely possible that the child porn came from viruses downloaded through music or pirated software. It does happen and if so I hope he is exonerated but if not and he is just using it as an excuse I hope he rots in hell. The fact that you invoked marital privilege and refused to testify leads me to believe that you know more than has actually been released from the media. If he's so innocent I guess I'd be singing it from the rooftops rather than refusing to testify.
