Back in December Derrick Ballin died after being severely beaten during a home invasion at the Ballin’s home in Lithonia, Georgia. People in the neighborhood have been concerned, both about the fact that their was a “home invasion” in their neighborhood as well as the fact that one of their neighbors was killed. Dekalb County police have been investigating the case since December and apparently they have gotten a break and it’s much closer to home than initially thought.
About a week ago the 48-year-old wife of Derrick Ballin, Pamela Lelieth Ballin, was arrested and charged with making false statement and concealing facts. She was out on $5,000 bond when police arrested her this week on charges of Murder.
Updated 2/8/10 – The Dekalb County Sheriff still is not releasing much in the way of motive or any other type of details but according to the murder warrant they are accusing Pamela Ballin of striking her husband in the head with a blunt object, leading to his death.
