There are very few things I can think of that make it right to hit a woman. Maybe it’s just because I am a guy but I don’t understand women like Zachary Baslington’s girlfriend. The 20-year-old man is on probation for an earlier assault on the same woman and part of that probation is that he is not allowed to come near her, yet the two of them have been living together. The first time you get hit and have the man arrested it’s his fault but when you continue living with him and expect things to be different, that’s called insanity as well as stupidity. It’s doing the same thing over and over expecting different results.
Zachary apparently got mad at his girlfriend and dragged her by the hair from their home into the woods and started beating her. The woman managed to connect with 911 before Baslington took the phone away from her and by that time the police were on the way.
Washington County, Oregon deputies arrived and by using a K-9 unit they found the two. Baslington was arrested and charged with Kidnapping, Domestic Menacing, Strangulation, Assault, Interfering With Making a Report and a probation violation. He was lodged into the Washington County Jail on January 15th.
