Updated – Missing Child From Helena, Montana

Alithea Brown

Two-month-old Dezmond Cortez was abducted by his mother, who does not have custody of the child, around 11 p.m. Monday night. Both the child and the mother, Alithea Brown, are wards of the state of Montana and are believed to be traveling to Olympia, Washington.

Dezmond Cortez is two-months-old, male, Native American, 15lbs and has black hair and brown eyes. Alithea Brown is a Native American female, 15-year’s old, 5’1”, 119 lbs with brown eyes and black hair. She was last seen wearing a maroon University of Montana Grizzly sweatshirt and navy blue sweat pants. They are thought to be traveling in a light blue or silver car.

Updated 9:30 p.m. – I don’t have a link for the update but it’s been reported that both the mother and child have been located in Helena, Montana and the Amber Alert has been canceled.

    Hey you April you have no idea what your talking about. What I’m guessing you’ve never spent most of you childlife with drugged parents and in and out of foster care and group homes. This happens to be my little sister, why is this under sick crimes. Alithea is confused she had no right to get pregnant so young but she has more pride then anything for abortion. She’s a ward of the state she’s not allowed to be the parent. Look again baby Dez is 2 months you cant undermine her parenting with such little time. This happens to be the roughest time in her life.        *Yes.  I do.  I happen to know that most girls this age know how to NOT get pregnant.    Being in and out of foster care should have made your sister more careful about getting pregnant when she knew she couldn’t care for a baby.  So not only is she a tramp – she’s a stupid tramp.
