18-year-old Michael Tangney Jr. (MySpace | MySpace #2) has been arrested after he allegedly put antifreeze in his mother’s coffee machine back at the beginning of November.
According to reports Tangney and his mother had fought but it’s not yet clear if the fight happened before or after he put the antifreeze in the coffee.
Tangney’s mother ingested coffee from the tainted machine for three days before she ended up being hospitalized. She is recovering from the damage.
Michael claims that the antifreeze was a joke but police and the prosecutor apparently aren’t in the mood for a laugh at someone else’s expense and have charged him with Heinous Battery and lodged him in the Lake County Illinois Jail. He has a hearing on February 16th and his trial is supposed to start on February 19th.
There are three of four more MySpace accounts that Mike has used but the two listed are the most recent ones.
