I’m a stickler for good grades. To me good grades are A’s. All of my kids have and still are involved in lots of extracurricular activities but they understand that their grades come first and if their education starts to suffer then they start to lose the extra stuff. I thought I was pretty damned mean until I came across Lynn Geter.
Geter has been arrested at her Meriwether County home and charged with Battery, Cruelty to Children and Cruelty to Animals.
So what did Geter do to land herself here on the front page?
Last Thursday Geter’s son came home from school with a bad report card. Rather than grounding him or making him give up some activity that was important to him, she allegedly gave her 12-year-old son a hammer and made him go kill his pet hamster as punishment for getting bad grades.
Jeebus.
