33-Year-Old Jonathan Ivan Bray of Clearwater, Florida allegedly choked his girlfriend until she passed out and then held her captive for two days before a neighbor who heard her crying for help knocked on the door and then called police.
Bray spend this past weekend beating his girlfriend, punching and strangling her. When she would try to get help he would attack her and he took the phone away so that she couldn’t call 911.
By the time police got there and arrested Bray the woman had suffered severe bruising all over her body including two severely black and swollen eyes.
Bray is no stranger to jail. In Pinellas County alone he was arrested five times over the last two years on Domestic Battery charges. In all of them the charges were dropped. He was sentenced to 20 days in jail back in October for violating a Domestic Violence injunction.
Bray is lodged in the Pinellas County Jail and charged with Kidnapping, Tampering With a Witness, Domestic Battery and Domestic Battery By Strangulation. His bond is $100,000
