Shadowscope's Sick Crimes

23-year-old Jennifer Bigham of Patterson, California has been arrested and charged with Child Abuse and Murder in the death of her daughter Alexandria. Police responded to a 911 call about a bathtub drowning at a home just southwest of Modesto last Thursday evening.

When deputies and EMTs arrived they found Alexandrea unresponsive. She was life-flighted to a hospital in Modesto where she passed away a few hours later.

Police aren’t releasing very many details in the case but they are saying that evidence and interviews at the scene led law enforcement to believe that Jennifer drowned her daughter. At some point after her daughter drowned Bigham stabbed herself in the chest and after being treated at the hospital for a non-life threatening wound she was booked into the Stanislaus County Jail where she remains on suicide watch.

Police do say that Bigham isn’t cooperating or communicating with the staff at the jail.

Jennifer’s MySpace shows that it hasn’t been logged into since 2007 but all of her friends, photos and any blog entries (if she ever had any) have been deleted. The last comment made by someone in her family was the day before her last login in July of 2007. There really isn’t very much information on the page that would lend any help in trying to figure out why this mother who reportedly loved her daughter very much, would take her life.
