T-Shirt Hell!

admin

Author and owner of Captain Obvious’ Crime Site. I have been blogging in one form or another since the days of Fidonet and BBSes in the early nineties. Started blogging in it’s current form around 10 years ago and got seriously interested in crime in 2005, about the time Natalee Holloway vanished. I’ve been hooked ever since.

I used to only comment on the front page. Flaming Fox brought me into the forums. I noticed that the folks there were super petty and I didn't get involved much with them (other than Flaming Fox). I refused to get involved in any of that stupid shit over there. I really like the site and I like what they do. Flaming Fox and Think Goat have started their own pages. I read them but don't comment much. I have been commenting on PBB for years - before DD. I like the regulars there better. I don't really feel like I'm missing DD much.
Cap'n - I think I remember you commenting on the FP. I am usually the first person to jump the ass of a tard defender. Nothing makes me crazier than someone that can try to justify beating a baby to death.... *sigh*
  • Sounds a little like what happened at Websleuths a while back. That sucks. I generally only frequent the front page and the crime forums so it makes sense that I missed it. I'm glad I did.

Oh wow. Do you know, I hadn't really noticed? But I rarely go to the forum there anyway. I've started hanging out more at PYSIH. And I love this site. I think the Captain is a fabulous author.
Oh, and you know I don't fight. I'm too much of a lady. I leave that to you. I just get tired when defenders start throwing out "judge not less ye be judged" shit. Don't they realize that not all of us are Christians? And that "innocent until proven guilty" irritates me too. That's for the courts, not the blogs.
But thanks for the info on DD. I'll try to pay more attention to comments.

It was a case of some very bored and immature people. They ganged up on each other. Talked shit about each other. Turned member against member..... It went from being a very cool site to being a social mess. People were just going on to start shit. It had nothing to do with the kids anymore. Even though I have been a member on that site for YEARS - I feel like such an outsider because I refuse to be a part of the drama and the cliques that are formed there. Bah!!! I'll be my own clique. With you two. I like it better that way. But if you start fighting, I'm out!
    XOXO

I'm not sure. I read the newsfeed every morning, but I don't know. April?
  • So what happened over at the Demon anyway? I go there but just due to my hours I tend to be in my own little world and until Morbid made a comment about it recently I wasn't aware of anything that had happened.

I haven't mentioned it at DD or PYSIH. I'm such a lurker there. They adore you, though.

Have you tried anyone from DD. Since all of the drama went down there, some of the members have gone elsewhere. I keep in touch with a few. Some have started their own sites - but I think they might like this one. I'll see what I can do.

Please do, April. I gave it a go. Now it's your turn!

I wanna see this site grow!!! Let's get rid of that bug and I will see if I cant get you some more members.
  • Same here but IE still holds a pretty high percentage of users. I am still toying around with this. Now that I've reported the bug so have a couple of others and I am hoping that will prompt the guy to fix it a bit sooner.

I highly recommend people use Firefox. I've been using it for several years, and have not had any problems. This site works fine with that browser.
