The boy, now 19, reported the assault to friends and a relative over the last few months, after which Law Enforcement was informed. After beginning their investigation police decided they had enough to make an arrest and as the investigation continues they expect to add more charges.
Mark Lucas, who teaches at Savannah High School is also a youth and education director at Woodlawn Baptist Church. He was recognized in 2004 for going “above and beyond” in his duties there and was also recognized by the church in 2006 for playing the organ for 25 years.

Lucas allegedly molested the boy at his home in Pooler.
Mark has two MySpace pages, one of which he hasn’t logged into since 2007 and the other more recent. His latest status update says “Really craving a change of pace” and his mood was restless. Well, here’s your change of pace Mark, hope you enjoy it if the allegations are true.
