Brunswick Man Accused of Killing Girlfriend’s Toddler

32-year-old Daryl Keon Jones was watching his three children and the 17-month-old daughter of his girlfriend Kim Hester last week while she was out of town. 911 was called on Thursday because the child wasn’t breathing and the toddler, Brianna Hester, was hospitalized. She died the next day from severe head trauma according to the GBI Crime Lab in Savannah, Georgia, which is where she had been airlifted to prior to her death.

Glynn County detectives conducted an investigation and they felt that enough information was brought to light that proved Jones was directly involved in the death of Brianna. Glyn County police arrested him Monday charging him with Murder and Cruelty to Children. His three children are currently under the supervision of DFACS.

    your son in law was never a part of her life. I know both the baby’s family personally and the first time he saw “his daughter” was at her funeral. how sad!

    he chose to move to indiana thinking he would have a fairytare life living lies and he denied her until a month or so ago. it took till blood tests proved he was her father and still he denied her, until they started child support. Blood and DNA tests don’t lie.

    What happens in the dark will eventually come to the light.

    so he never knew her or what was going on in her life. all he saw was pictures of her that her mother sent him.

    now I am a friend of the victims family, a very close friend so i would know more about her and this situation than you or any of the “babys father’s” family as none of them ever saw her in person.

    its very sad and quite pathedic that they all finally met her in person when they showed up at the funeral and her wake.

    this is a message to everyone who views this article or any other article on this subject… I know both of the familes personally and you have to keep an open mind when dealing with a case like this. If you only know one side of the family and not the other you can’t go jumping to conclusion. If you don’t know any of them at all, then yes you can state your opinion, but don’t go jumping to conclusions and stating that you know things about them or the case if you for one don’t know them and for two don’t even live in the area to know what exactly is going on. You all are just getting your information off of the news and media. I just think that you all should leave this up to the investigators and police as they know how to do their job and also leave it up to God as he knows all and he will give the proper justice to who ever it is intended to go to. And for all of those who says this is about race, well you all just need to be open minded as well. This is a new day and age and just b/c you were brought up around that or raised that way does not give you the right to assume that this is what it is about. Just leave it up to God and pray for both familes that they get the justice they deserve. Remember this isn’t about them. This is about that innocent baby that was caught up in the middle. Thank you.

    The mom is lying about what happened on her babygaga page. She says the baby died of cardiac arrest. But everything else says head trauma.

    I guess everything shouldn’t be available to the world.

    It was a picture of Jones and one of his children from his now deleted MySpace page. I agreed with the aunt and thought it best to take the picture down, mainly because she was so polite in the asking.

    To the comment above me ^^^ I have an account on BG and have seen her post..she did say they suspected head trauma …but also said cardiac arrest.
